Today I shed many tears for a truely amazing man. I had never met Steve, but it felt like he was a great mate. Steve showed me what true passion and enthusiasm is really about. He lived 10 normal lifetimes in his 44 years and most people would have loved just a fraction of his energy.
Steve is a great example of how passion can fuel us... the force that will drive us to achieve, to smash through any obstacle, to solve any problem, it will wake us early in the morning greeting the day with huge enthusiasm and stay up late at night with excitement.
With passion and enthusiasm we can achieve anything.
Thank you Steve and goodbye... I know you are in a better place.

'I don't want Daddy's passion to ever end'
September 20, 2006
Memorable quotes from Steve Irwin's memorial service.
'I don't want Daddy's passion to ever end. I want to help endangered wildlife just like he did.''
Mr Irwin's eight-year-old daughter Bindi Irwin.
'Please don't grieve for Steve - he's at peace now. But I would like you to grieve for the animals - the animals have lost the best friend they ever had, and so have I.''
Mr Irwin's father Bob Irwin.
'In everything he did he was direct, he was genuine and oh so Australian and that is what we loved about him.''
Prime Minister John Howard.
'And as we share this celebration and we honour this life can I say to you Terri, and the rest of your family, there are 20 million pairs of Australian arms reaching out to embrace you this morning.''
Mr Howard again, in a message to Terri Irwin and her children.
'Steve's enthusiasm was instantaneously infectious. His love and passion for wildlife was so enveloping that at the time I found it difficult to breathe.''
Mr Irwin's best friend and Australia Zoo director, Wes Mannion, on when he first met the Crocodile Hunter.
