I broke my blog

That's what happens when you try to be too clever... you break your blog. I looked at someone else's blog and they had inserted adsense ads into each post, so I tried to do the same. But not only did I do that, I changed my sidebar titles at the same time and hit save and publish.

Well, when I went to have a look at the blog, the sidebar was gone.. Bye.. See you later.. I've become invisible..

Oh noooooo what have I done, I've broken it.

I know nothing about html, but someone told me to look at the code of another site and copy it. Well easier said than done, now I know it wasn't the best advice. But, surely if I reverse what I've done to the sidebar code then that'll fix it, after all it is the sidebar that I can't see, right? Well 2 days later of extreme frustration I find out the problem is not with the side bar code because I've changed the template and it still won't work... so I think, what else did I do that day. Now fortunately I keep a journal of what I do everyday so I can refer back to it... handy when you are learning and guess what... I had made a post that day. So I decide to delete the post. As I'm about to delete the post I see a weird bit of code at the bottom, say's something about Google!!

Surely that can't be the problem?

Guess what... it was the problem. Such a simple thing.

Moral of the story - if you have a problem dont spend hours getting frustrated, go to bed and try again when you are relaxed because you will be amazed how things just come to you.
